Luckily my chain snapped on my old mountain bike and i had to get the train from poole dorset back to bournemouth, i saw a guy on this lovely red Triban3,got chatting and he mentioned how these bikes are only £300 new and are rated as good as a £900 bike, he told me he was a member of the Triban club... i wanted one and spent the next few weeks looking on ebay to get myself one, amazingly some of them they were going for more than they were new...Crazy....anyway i managed to get a bargain from a lovely guy near Havant, only done 150 miles he had spent £450on new wheels and pedals and headset..mint condition..rode it all the way back to bournemouth the long way about 60miles...Butt was numb next day and my legs were killing..

Just bought my triban 3 and was looking for any forums online and hey presto your site came up, so here i am. I must say there are quite a lot of us out there, never realised until i read some reviews of the bike how popular they are, but i must say they are getting some fabulous reviews.

My friend recommended a Triban as a novice cyclist friend of his had one and I was googling and reading everything I could to see if the bike would carry my considerable bulk!

Dude, I think that was me you bumped into, lols! How funny. If interested in riding in a small group keep an eye on the 'what's going on' thread, I, @sq or @leo post a regular-ish ride to Swanage/Corfe Castle from Boscombe/Bomo from time to time. Look forward to bumping into you again!
