Hi guys - strange first post, but stay with me! I shall introduce myself and my bike shortly, but firstly I need your help!!
I have bought a basically new 5a, and the seller sent it to me via ParcelForce. ParcelForce being ParcelForce haven't actually managed to deliver it, and so I have decided after days of disappointment to go and pick it up myself.
My problem (and therefore question!) is - will it fit in my car?
It has been shipped in its original box, which I believe is massive so am already resigned to some cardboard oragami in the car park. Could one of you kind people tell me how much space I really need in my boot?
Its a 57 frame, and obviously saddle and seat post and wheels can come off relatively stress free...does anyone have a measurement for the longest distance from front to back - bars to dropouts I'm guessing - so I can go and measure my car in the dark and hopefully confirm that it will fit!
Thanks in advance :-)
Jackson

I can easily fit my 60cm T5a in the back of my 2009 Ford Fiesta, taking only the wheels off, with the rear seats of the car folded down. You might need to ditch the box though!

I have a Honda jazz and the bike bits in the back of my car, with the seats down, no problem, remove the front wheel and its a doddle.

You can take the bars off also. Let me have my tea and if no one has given you measurements I will go and measure mine for you.

My T3 fits on the back seat of a C3 with the back wheel off and the handlebars turned . Just needs a bit of padding to stop it getting scuffs and a blanket to stop the grease accidentally marking the upholstery

From bottom of the front fork to the back of the rear wheel 136cm (assuming no front wheel fitted) From the top of brake lever to back of rear wheel 154cm With no wheels fitted 105cm. Hope this helps, also welcome to the forum and i am sure you will love the T5a when the saddle has bedded in

A3 is next class up, in terms of size, compared to my wee Zetec S, so you probably won't even have to take the wheels off.

Got it in my old man's Merc Coupe with just the wheels off, you should have no problems - just leave the box behind.

Line the boot with the cardboard to protect car/bike.

Goes in a T reg Skoda Felica hatch, back seats down and front wheel off, no worries.
Strangly the bike is worth more than the car!
