Think it's not just the training, a bit like moving plants in the garden , it's the whole upheaval and new environment thing, sometimes shocking the system ... think he'll settle again and being at the World's is a good sign; confidence on the wane in parallel with form dropping when being the new one in with all the big boys must be hard going.

Look out for the slow mo of todays sprint. Rear wheel sideways action! Some scary movement in that back wheel. Great skill to keep upright. I really enjoyed the whole tour some great racing, brilliant tactics and of course An Post had an exceptional tour. All good. Cavendish is superb...

We decided to take a trip to London yesterday for the final day of the tour, and what a great day out it was. Huge crowds around the Team Sky bus meant no chance of getting anything signed, but managed to get a few bits signed by Cav! including 3 caps, programme, and he gave my 5 year old daughter a drinks bottle, which he dedicated to her. A programme signed by the Great Britain which inluded the Yates brothers, and another drinks bottle for the little 'un. Finally had a little chat with Shane Sutton. All in all it was really good day, roll on next year. Here are a few pictures.

There was a nice documentary about Cav on ITV4 on Sunday night. I watched a recording yesterday. Its probably available on ITV catchup or whatever they call it. It inspired me to run my recording of the 2011 World's road race in Denmark in which he won the Rainbow Jersey. It was a great performance by the whole GB team and Cav was electric. Lets hope this week's race will produce something similar. Different type of course with different strategies. Its hard to see anything other than a Sagan win though.

This isn't the usual image of Cav good on him for putting in the effort and giving something back to the fans.

Think they've got the message that they're national icons now and that the benefits of them putting in some effort are bigger than their own issues, whilst also being beneficial to them and the sport - Froomey showed the way with managing the media firmly but fairly in the TdF and Sir Dave has probably given them all a pep talk about being ambassadors.
