Isn't this what the little cycling caps are made for? To go under the helmet and soak the sweat, noticed Cav was wearing one the other day. Yup I noticed that too. Was wondering why? So you saying its to stop the sweat getting into the eyes?

So you saying its to stop the sweat getting into the eyes? I believe so. I can't find a pic of Cav now, but I believe it was the Stage Trentin won. Looked like he had a cycling cap on under his helmet when he congratulated him and just before he got on the team bus.

Most of the time I use buff. In the summers I used thin buff. It helps me a lot. It absorbs almost all sweating.

I use a cycling cap when riding as you're right it does soak up the sweat, plus it's what cyclists have worn for decades (especially before the days when helmets were compulsory - a recent ruling really). You will spot cyclists wearing them under their helmets, generally they'll have the cap peaked upwards though so it can be tricky to notice as the caps seem to blend into the helmet, probably due to the fact that nowadays everything is colour coded/coordinated. Got to add though bandanas on a bike are cool, they'll always remind me of Pantani. I'd be too tempted to take mine off on a hill and throw it to one side to show I mean business though!
