So just got my hands on a Red Triban. Want to swap the stock one for a 11-28 cassette.
So as I see it I have a limited choice of decent 8 speed wheels.
Shimano RS10, 21 and 30. But what Im not sure about is the low number of spokes with these, as Im 14 stone.
Do the Mavic Asikums fit with the 8 speed cassette?
I would really like to use Campagnolo Khamsins. Is there a way to get these to work on the 8sp cassette?
Do the Fulcrum 7 work with an 8 sp cassette?

I've got exactly the same problem, can't decide between Shimano (10,21,30) Aksiums, Fulcrum 7's or 5's or Easton EA50 Aeros.
The Campag ones are a non-starter though.

The askiums will work with 8spd but you'll need a spacer. Not sure about the fulcrums.

May be worth a look to keep an eye on: myworld.ebay.co.uk/cycling-insiders?_trksid=p2047675.l2559I just missed out on a set of their Gotthards that went for Β£250 in the end.

That's interesting to know. I would have just gone ahead and get the wheelset. Thanks.
