Oh that is the dream. For future misses to be into the 'two wheels'. Well on second thought I wonder if having my misses on two wheels is a good idea? She would know just how much I spend on Whitney - oh that would put me in the dog house!

the old steely shes using at mo has flatbars fitted, wander if the fit3 goes to the smaller sizes of frame, be nice to keep it a btwin affair The Fit 3 does come in the smaller frame sizes - it's the same frame as a Triban 3/5. Bear in mind you might want to go up a size for the Fit for a longer top tube as you won't have the bar extension of holding on to the hoods. I'd go for a Triban if you can persuade her, much better value and you can change your hand position. The gears on the Fit 3 are cheap twist grips with a 7 speed freewheel rather than the 8 speed cassette of the Triban. It would be cheap to put flat bars on a triban but expensive (shifters) to put drops on a Fit if she changes her mind.

I would recommend the T3A, the ladies seem to love the white and the shifters are easy to use. Also, buying a new, light bike for your wife makes a huge difference to how much they use it. My wife now has a Specialized Vita Elite and she is on it all the time. It weighs about 4kg less than her last bike.
