First post for me. I've been using the Cateye Stealth 50 with Ant+ Geonaute speed/cadence meter for about 300miles. Only had one glitch (and that was probably down to me) and its been fab. Upload to Strava no probs. Riding with cadence a real eye opener on the road to fitness.

i said to whitey just last week that i wouldnt consider garmin given their i phone like status in the bike computer world, but given this, i think i may revise it, but im seriously asking if i need this, gps and stuff - havent needed it previously so do i really need it now or is it just another distraction and expense for the money i could get some nice lizard skins, a 105 cassette and some extras OR save the cash and get my mavic cosmic elites next month and ahead of schedule - i like this option the most When it comes to GPS, its only useful to trace back routes, like on strava, to help understand your strengths and weaknesses in areas. So if you notice that your weak in climbs in early stages but stronger at later, you know where to push more to benefit. Its even more beneficial when it comes to road racing or Time-Trialing. Because you can set up the track, get the GPS to track your ride and then compare to other riders and see how you got on. Again Strava. But if you can get the GPS ones that give a fairly decent reading on its signal or a cadence meter which has a magnetic speed sensor built in to (similar to count14), your rides and data would be perfect. If all you're using the gps for is to track your ride, either to look back over your route if you're touring or see where you can improve in a time trial with Raceshape raceshape.com/ then you may as well use a phone in your back pocket. If you don't already have a computer and you have several bikes then one gps computer you can swap between bikes may be economical. The feature that really interests me is the ability to load up someone else's route, either an Audax ride or club run and get directions as you go. It is this that sets the B'Twin computers apart at their price point (apart from the fact that they don't work)
